Who we are ?
Mr Edmond F. Moulin served as Vice-Chairman of GATOIL (Suisse) S.A. which expanded steadily and, in the early nineties, owned more than 380 service stations and a refinary in Switzerland. The company was also very active in trading crude oil and supplied refineries in Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.
In 1992 GATOIL (Suisse) S.A. was absorbed by TAMOIL S.A., a state-owned Libyan company.
Mr Edmond F. Moulin left this company and was appointed President of INDUTAL TRADING S.A. whose main activity was not only to trade crude oil but also petroleum derivates.
In July 1999,Mr Moulin took over the company, changed the name to CATOIL and expanded the activities of the company to include all international operations in the oil business.
Early in 2001, Mr Moulin set up a trading subsidiary in London CATOIL Ltd and subsequently established other CATOIL subsidiaries in Paris (France), Brazzaville (Congo), and Abuja (Nigeria).
17 June 2002, CATOIL was granted the authorisation by the United Nations to trade within the Program Oil for Food with Iraq, as well as the agreement by the Swiss Ministry of Commerce (SECO).
The holding company is in Fribourg (Switzerland) however the international operations are handled out of the Geneva office.
